Just Another Glossary of Distance Learning Terms?

This link takes you to a glossary of distance learning terms and concepts. It’s not an exhaustive list, but mostly interesting because of the source. It’s offered by the World Bank. At first glance I didn’t make an immediate connection but after taking a peek around the site, makes perfect sense. The World Bank is a source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world for the objective of reducing global poverty and improving living standards. Clearly they see the link between continuing education and a better life. Just another great example of providing access to education to those who don’t have the luxury to obtain one.
