“What was the best aspect of your online experience?”
Posted on July 25, 2008 by Jennifer Brady
The headline on this post comes directly from a summer survey conducted by UMass Amherst of students taking online courses via UMassOnline. I could annotate, rate, qualify and otherwise add my two cents, but I think these quotes speak for themselves just as they are:
- Being able to get a solid education without leaving my home. It would be nearly impossible for me to pursue an M.B.A. in a classroom setting. UMassOnline gave me the opportunity to get a great education and be there for my wife and kids.
- Being able to get required classes finished over the summer…
- No walk to class. I run my own schedule!
- The supportive, friendly, helpful, encouraging online class community of students and instructor.
- The online learning environment is very robust at UMASS. The professors are remarkable responsive to the needs of the students. Many of my emails or posts are answered within hours and even on weekends. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the professors and the courses they teach.
- Everything, I really liked how you could spread out the workload. Also NOT BUYING A TEXTBOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are dozens, if not hundreds more from this survey that I could list but I’d like to hear from other online learners. Do you have a favorite aspect of your own when it comes to your online experience? Want to share?
