Quick and Much Enriched SAT Scores Now Reported Online

Posted on November 20, 2008 by Jennifer Brady

UMassOnline Jennifer BradyI’ll make this brief because this story isn’t about going to college online. But it is about getting the SAT scores online that will have much to do with where students are accepted. Also, if you’re not a member of Gen Y – maybe you fit the profile of slightly older men and women attending UMassOnline – you’ll find this story remarkable. That’s because back in the day, as they say, the wait between the SAT exams and receipt of your score was interminable. And then all you got was two numbers: one for verbal and one for math.

Now today, according to the report, the October SAT test scores are already available online. Moreover, tons more data is provided:

Get detailed insights into how you performed on each section of the test, including responses by question type and difficulty. See how your scores compare to the scores of students in your school, state, and nationally. Search for the right colleges, majors, and careers based on your scores. Work on improving your scores on a future test through targeted preparation and links to SAT® Skills Insight™. View a printable copy of your actual essay response and see sample essays that received various scores.

On second thought, maybe that’s more information than I could have handled?
