Online Ups Chances of Graduation and Reduces Time to Get Diploma

E-learning can increase degree completion rates and decrease the amount of time students need to get a degree.
That unattributed statement is from this News Blaze story which is all about the recent survey entitled, Staying the Course: Online Education in the United States, 2008. The survey was supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and is based on responses from more than 2,500 colleges and universities.
Much has been written in the media about the Sloan survey since its recent release. This specific article, however, goes in to more extensive depth on the convenience and speed of online courses, and discusses, from the perspective of an actual student, whether online programs are harder or easier than traditional options. I think you’ll be surprised… the answer varies on the type of course according to the featured learner. If you’re currently considering online, you’ll want to at least scan this piece.
