25 Companies Hiring New Graduates This Year
Posted on June 23, 2009 by Rajiv Malhotra
This is a follow-up to my previous post about the companies MBA graduates most want to join. Encouragingly, many of the favored companies spotlighted in that post plan to continue hiring. In this post, thanks to CareerBuilder.com, another great source of potential jobs for recent college grads is made available. Entitled “25 Employers Hiring the Class of 2009,” it is by Rachel Zupek and it is a tremendous source of job leads. The listed companies, with job opening specifics, range from Allstate to Whirlpool.
Overall, the article also notes, while the planned hiring of recent college graduates is down, it is only off by about 13% from the previous year:
Forty-three percent of employers plan to hire recent college graduates in 2009, down from 56 percent in 2008, according to CareerBuilder’s Annual College Job Forecast. The survey was conducted among 2,543 hiring managers and Human Resource professionals from February 20 and March 11, 2009.
